What is "The Botanist"

"The Botanist" is a bit of a bogus name, since never before I had any plants. At least not any plants, that didn't die after a very short while.

Today I bought two plants. Two Dracaenas, to be precise. One Dracaena massangeana, one Dracaena marginata. The florist told me, these plants are very good at filtering bad air and don't take much care, too. So they sounded like perfect plants for my office, where the smoke-filled air, stuck under an ancient wooden roof in the hot summer sun surely needs some good filtering.

And here in this weblog, I'll keep track of the life and adventures of my two Draceana plants.
